Kindle Unlimited Good Books Science Fiction Post 1

Refugee (Bio of a Space Tyrant Book 1)

Piers Anthony

281 pages, first published in 2000

One of the best science fiction books ever.

This whole series by one of the science fiction greats is in Kindle Unlimited. Here's an excerpt from the prologue: "Because he defended his older sister against the violen t lusts of a wealthy scion, HOp0e and his peasant family were forced to flee Callisto, one of the moons of Jupiter."

Intervention

Julian May

546-page classic anti-utopian telepath novel from 1987.

Written back when nuclear war was always seen as imminent, this is a prequel to May's Saga of Pliocene Excile, and the first two books of that series are in Kindle Unlimited, too.

It has telepaths! :)

The Forge of God

Greg Bear

484-pages and first published in 1987

This is an apocalyptic book that shows the minutia of the ends of people's lives while they slowly become aware that Earth is dying. Nominated for the Hugo and Nebula awards.
